Information about removal of temporary restrictions on transport communication with foreign states

Flight from Frankfurt to Windhoek 28 August 2020

This serves to inform that Westair Aviation in partnership with Condor (Flight No: DE8428) will sub charter a flight to repatriate Namibian nationals stranded globally, from Frankfurt, Germany. The operation will be conducted on Friday, 28 August 2020 and will be at OWN COST TO THE PASSENGERS. Nationals who wish to board the flight to Namibia, but are in other European countries or elsewhere, are encouraged to ensure that they travel to Frankfurt on time in order to benefit from the flight.

Please note that Westair will make all the necessary arrangements at Frankfurt Airport.

Furthermore, the flight is subject to minimum availability and a full refund will be given to any passenger should Westair Aviation delay the flight for a period of 3 days.

Quarantine and adherence to COVID-19 Protocols

Strict adherence to COVID-19 safety regulations and hygiene measures should be adhered to throughout the evacuation and repatriation process as per local requirements. All evacuees will be subjected to a 7-day mandatory quarantine upon arrival in Namibia. Applicants who wish to apply for state-funded quarantine should email their application forms directly to Mr. Mwaala Shaanika, health.travelapproval@mhss.gov.na. Please note that work permit holders need to apply in advance through their respective employers in Namibia, who should submit their applications directly to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security, for approval to enter Namibia.

Flight from Frankfurt to Windhoek 4 August 2020

You are hereby informed that Westair Aviation will be operating a flight from Frankfurt International Airport to Windhoek Hosea Kutako Airport on 4 August 2020.

The flight is scheduled to depart Frankfurt at 19:00 local time and will arrive in Windhoek at 04:15 local time on 5 August 2020.

The deadline to purchase the tickets is on Thursday, 30 July 2020.

Westair Aviation will advise on the registered travel agents who are authorized to process the bookings of this particular flight. They will be allowed to add a service charge on each booking which is not included in the price stipulated above.

All registered Namibian Students must be able to provide proof that they are students in order to qualify for the student price.
